National Custom Printing has found its’ niche in labeling for military contracts such as: protective apparel, tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, uniforms, helmets and even shoes.
National Custom Printing is a major purchaser of the government approved fabric for military labeling called Reemay, which is a nonwoven spun-bonded polyester. Reemay meets Military Specifications DDD-L-20F and MIL-DTL-32075, as well as AATCC IVA wash test requirements and is compliant with the Berry Amendment (USC, Title 10, Section 2533a) and the Kissel Amendment (H.R. 1.)
Because we supply several large companies with Reemay roll stock and Reemay labels, National Custom Printing:
There are a couple solutions we can offer to assist you in labeling the military contract you have been awarded:
NCP can pre-print your labels for you and when they arrive, they are ready to be sewn in, either offset or thermal transfer. We are experienced in printing hundreds of thousands of labels that have varying NSN numbers, contract numbers, dates of manufacture, lot numbers, 2D barcodes, and even labels that are serialized and of course, shipped in consecutive order.
NCP can provide a thermal transfer printer that is excellent for printing thermal transfer reemay labels and offer continual technical support. With this system, you will need Thermal Transfer Reemay Roll Stock that is slit down to the width that you specify as well as the thermal transfer ribbon that has been tested and passed the applicable military wash tests.
The proper labeling of garments that peoples’ lives depend on is of the utmost importance. The labels that convey crucial information about the care, operation, wear, and tear of body armor must be durable, reliable, and remain legible through the life of the product. Carrier labels, Ballistic labels, Spike labels, and even blank labels you imprint and then apply to your product, all have stringent guidelines that they must meet (e.g. NIJ 06 Standard Alcohol Rub Test.)
Ballistic/Stab Resistant Labels must be permanently applied to rip stop and survive submersion tests (as well as the Alcohol Rub Test.) National Custom Printing has developed a label construction that has passed both submersion and alcohol testing, can be die cut, is extremely durable, has adhesive that will not ooze, and costs fractions of other ballistic labels we have encountered on the market.
Carrier Labels not only contain all of the critical information necessary for care and maintenance, but they also give you an opportunity to brand your product. From one to six colors, we can provide you with an appealing and functional label that will stand up to wear, tear and all the washings.on the market.
